You will find Simon on the riverbanks of Rogaland for almost the entire season. Salmon fishing is closest to his heart. He bought his first fly rod at 14 or 15, and there was no turning back.

Simon spends most dark winter evenings at the tying vice and has developed several dependable fish-catching patterns. As soon as the ice disappears, he is out refining his casting. He has tried a wide range of equipment as a salmon angler and has finally returned to LTS.  

His favourite rods are the Slingshot 14 ft and Explosive 12.6 ft #7/8.

Peter is a Danish expatriate who moved from the Loop team to LTS when it started in 2004, so he knows LTS inside out.

How long he has fly-fished is a secret, but he got his first fly rod at 14. He is a passionate trout and salmon angler who fishes around the world, including countless visits to the Kola Peninsula, as well as Scotland, Argentina, Canada and Alaska. Bonefish and tarpon are also close to his heart; he has visited Cuba and Los Roques several times. Peter is an instructor with Sandnes Flycasting, and the person to contact with questions about casting technique.

His favourite rods are the Across 13 ft and Explosive 10 ft #7/8.

Tony lives in Bardufoss and is an accomplished angler and fly caster.

Tony began fishing for trout and char at ten or eleven. It remained his great passion into his twenties. Then he 'accidentally' borrowed his younger brother's rod and caught a salmon on his second cast. Like many others, he was hooked.

Tony is a skilled instructor and guide who devotes some of his spare time to teaching, while also enjoying his own fishing on the Målselva. He has tried a wide range of equipment on his travels along the rivers, and has now found the right home at LTS.

Stein Tore is from Lillehammer and is an accomplished fly angler.

He has fly-fished for more than 20 years and is a knowledgeable local resource. He handles both single and double-handed rods well. He is also an excellent fly tier, and many salmon and trout have fallen for his creations.

Stein Tore is always ready to help with questions about equipment.

Kristin has fly-fished in recent years and has enjoyed fishing since she was young. She helps LTS Flyfishing with digital work and has worked as a digital adviser for 15 years.

Nature is her motivation, and she enjoys fishing small rivers, lakes and the sea.

Bendik Lillebø Furubotn and Synne-Kristine T. Berg

Synne and Bendik are a couple living in Oslo who spend holidays and weekends on western Norway's rivers and along the coast, searching for salmon and sea trout.

Both have worked in sales and service in the fishing industry.

Bendik was born and raised fishing for salmon and sea trout in Ryfylke. As a third-generation salmon angler, he grew up with salmon fishing as a central family tradition to pass on. He introduced Synne to it, and she has since refined her casting in freezing winter weather and caught large salmon in summer. 

Bendik and Synne are available to help customers who want to buy or try rods and equipment in and around Oslo.

Martin has fly-fished for salmon since he was six, and caught his first salmon at five. He has recently completed three years on the specialist angling programme in Grong, where he qualified as an advanced fly-casting instructor and guide.

Martin mainly fishes the Lakselva and Børselva in Porsanger, but also travels around Norway to try other rivers. His favourite rod is undoubtedly the Nitro 13.6 ft, which he considers a dream rod for anyone interested in both casting and fishing.

Robin Pettersen is a knowledgeable fly angler based in Narvik, Nordland.

His interest in fishing began as a small boy at the family's mountain cabin, where he fished for trout with worms, flies and spoons. He learned early that choosing equipment to suit the conditions matters. Robin fishes for trout and char with light tackle, but salmon and sea trout in running water are closest to his heart.  

Over 30 years of fly fishing, Robin has gained considerable knowledge. He always chooses his equipment and casting technique to suit his surroundings. He is an accomplished caster with both single and double-handed rods and gladly shares his knowledge.

During summer, Robin fishes many of the best rivers in northern Norway and is happy to run courses and demonstrate the LTS range.

Christian is a salmon angler who lives beside his paradise, the Stjørdalselva.

He works as a social educator, but is out fishing whenever he gets the opportunity. Christian fishes for salmon almost every day during the season, mainly on the Stjørdalselva. He has also fished many other Norwegian rivers and the River Spey in Scotland.

Whenever conditions allow, Kristian fishes throughout the year, preferably for salmon and sea trout.
For many years, he has guided at the historic Renå farm on the Stjørdalselva and at Hembre farm.  

As he puts it: 'I enjoy walks in the woods and countryside. Calm, kind and easy to keep clean. Ladies with a large farm and fishing rights, please get in touch.'

Jan Morten lives in Karasjok, in the heart of Finnmark.

He is an accomplished angler and fly caster. His home is by a deep pool around the bend. He started fly fishing at ten after receiving a double-handed rod from an experienced angler. He likes fishing light double-handed rods for large fish.

He fishes throughout the long Tana river system and makes many trips to the Børselva, Lakselva and other rivers in eastern Finnmark. Summer is too short, so after a month without fishing, preparation starts in October: 400 new flies take shape in his own tying den, accompanied by hours of fishing films.

His favourite rod is the LTS Across II 13 ft #8/9/10.

Ørjan and Kristian are both passionate salmon anglers.

The first was born and raised on the river; the second caught the fishing bug at twelve. They spend summers fishing throughout southern Norway, mainly in the west. In June and July, they prefer rivers they know well, but are just as happy to jump in the car in pouring rain to fish for salmon travelling upstream towards spawning grounds later in the summer.

Both are skilled fly casters who gladly offer demonstrations and courses, during and outside the season.

Vidar lives in Sandefjord and is an excellent fly caster, as his results confirm.

Vidar began fishing as a boy in Nord-Trøndelag, using all kinds of tackle. He bought his first fly rod at 26 and never looked back. A perfectionist, he spends countless hours practising throughout the year. He is an accomplished competition caster with many strong results.     

  – Overall winner of the #5 Cup in 2012, in both distance and accuracy.
 – Overall winner of the Guideline Cup in 2012. Nordic champion in Salmon Distance, 15-foot overhead, in Tampere, Finland, in 2013.
 – Silver in accuracy at the same championship.
 – Silver in Spey O Mega and gold in Salmon Distance, 15-foot overhead, at the John Enright Festival in Ireland in 2013.

Vidar fishes for salmon, trout and sea trout in the sea. When a sea trout takes the wool tuft he uses to practise with his 15-foot rod, he brings out his favourite single-handed rod, the LTS X1 Zalt #7.

Mauro lives in Bariloche, a mountain town in Northern Patagonia; Argentina. 

He works as fishing guide and Underhand casting instructor in Nahuel Huapi National Park area. Bariloche is surrounded by high mountains, forest and a big system of lakes. As you drive to the east the main rivers run into the Patagonian desert, called Estepa. The town of Bariloche is the starting point of many prime fishing destinations. Limay and Traful are two of the best rivers in northern patagonia where you can fish for rainbow, brown, silver brown trout and land locked salmon. Limay and Traful rivers are also ideal for wading with two handed rods chasing for the big ones on November (premier), December, March and April (fall). 

He runs his own fishing operation for more than 10 years, www.patagoniadrift.com.ar. His programs combine fishing with casting clinics for all levels, and go from day trips to several days fishing trips or expeditions; camping on the river bank or staying at nearby estancias cabins surrounded by wild Patagonian landscapes.

Passionate fly tier, Mauro spend the winter tying for his clients, lending casting courses and guiding in Orkla river (Norway). He also work in the local guides association and in different conservation projects.

Hans Martin lives in Sortland in Vesterålen. After attending a course with Trond and Knut, he switched entirely to fly fishing.

Hans Martin works in tourism, sensibly focusing on winter tourism, which leaves him considerable time to fish during the season. He starts as soon as there is open water in the ice to anchor his leader and continues until the Beiarelva closes on 15 September. During the season, he covers many kilometres between the Målselva, Beiarelva, Saltdalselva, Ranaelva, Namsen and Orkla.

Hans Martin is happy to demonstrate equipment throughout his area. He often posts on Facebook about where he is fishing and gladly demonstrates LTS equipment.

Hans Martin is particularly interested in introducing people to fly fishing. He gladly joins demonstrations for children and young people and provides equipment for the salmon-fishing school in Rana.  

Otherwise: married, fortunately to someone who enjoys fishing. She too trained at Knut and Trond's casting academy. My aim is for Bjørnar to teach me to fish effectively for spotted fish as well!

Ole Børre is, as he said a few years ago, 47 years young and comes from Sandefjord.

Ole Børre, or Børre as most people call him, is an enthusiastic angler who travels around southern Norway fishing for salmon in summer. He also fishes in Trøndelag and western Norway, where night fishing for sea trout is his preference. He finds few things more exciting than fishing for large sea trout at night. He also fishes for sea trout in the sea outside the salmon season, though less in recent years as he spends considerable time refining his double-handed casting. He practises with rods and lines of every type and length, believing in the Scout motto: always be prepared.

Børre is also a skilled fly tier and spends considerable time on this hobby. His fortunate friends often catch fish on his flies, which he enjoys.

He does not actively run courses, but enthusiastic anglers often contact him about equipment, lines and casting. He always helps as best he can.

A final suggestion from Ole Børre: do not put your rod away when the season ends. Go out and practise casting. The more often you practise, the better you become. You will enjoy your time on the river more, whatever the fishing situation, and you will catch more fish!

Anders has fished all his life, but his fly fishing really took off when he met Knut and Trond on a course on the Orkla in 1998.

He has been connected with LTS since its beginnings in 2004, both as a sports-shop owner and as a user of the equipment.

Salmon fishing has always been Anders' first choice, though he enjoys trying sea trout too. He has travelled throughout Norway and fished many rivers, but feels most at home on the rivers of Trøndelag.

He now lives in Grong, a fly cast from the Namsen. He works on the specialist angling programme at Grong Upper Secondary School, making angling his livelihood.

There is nothing like watching a new student pick up a fly rod and suddenly have a revelation... says Anders. He guides and teaches casting on the Namsen, where double-handed fishing is the focus.

César García is a well known fly fisher amongst the Spanish fishing community and a pioneer in Spey casting tuition in Spain.

He has more than thirty years of experience in studying and teaching all fly and Spey casting disciplines, styles and their evolution with single and double handed rods. 
Fly casting is more than a fishing tool for César; it’s a sport in itself, and has brought him to develop his own casting styles and to adapt lines and rod profiles. 
César is currently a team member, consultant and dealer of LTS-Fly Fishing in Spain. He also collaborates with Lax-á Angling Club giving tuition and advice to its Spanish customers.

Cesar runs the first fly casting and fly fishing school “Spey made in Spain” as qualified fly casting and fishing instructor.

César is a truly passionate salmon fly fisher, but also a seasoned fly angler for pike, trout and ciprinids, and holds multiple trophies in European waters.

Raimon has fly-fished since he was eleven.

His grandfather was the driving force and natural mentor. As a promising young angler, Raimon accompanied his grandfather, who was from Sogn og Fjordane, to fish the Jølstra, Gaula, Nausta and Flekkeelva. At twelve, he hooked his first salmon on an underpowered rod, but unfortunately lost it after 45 minutes. He has never forgotten that fight.

Today, he fishes five days for salmon on the Jølstra every year. He has never missed a year except when the river was closed in the 1990s, when he fished the Nausta and Flekkeelva instead.  

During his teens, he developed a great passion for fly fishing, mainly for salmon, sea trout and freshwater trout. He also fishes for other species when the opportunity arises, such as pike in Borrevannet, five minutes' walk from his home in Horten. Always with a fly rod.  

Raimon is an all-round angler, but most of his spare time is spent fishing freshwater trout on Skrimfjellet and at Gautefall in Telemark.

Andreas is 24 and from eastern Finnmark. He comes from an outdoor-loving family, and the whole extended family fishes for salmon from June to the end of August.  

Andreas has accompanied his father and grandfather on fishing trips since he was four or five. They deserve much of the credit for making salmon fishing his great passion.

He says: 'I caught my first salmon in the Kongsfjordelva with my dad when I was six. Many more have followed, and lately millions of wonderful casts with fantastic equipment! LTS ❤️

In summer, I stay in beautiful Varanger, specifically Vardø/Komagvær. I am lucky enough to have a cabin one kilometre from the Komagelva, a real gem in the heart of Varanger.

Per Morten practically lives in his own playground in Stjørdal.  

Per Morten has been with LTS from the start. A few years ago, much of his time went into double-handed Spey practice and competitions. His focus has shifted: although 'moving shooting line', as Knut put it, is still fun, relaxation and the experience itself now drive him. Casting technique and practical fishing are closest to his heart.

Per Morten puts it this way: 'Time stands still on a big summer river with an Across 15 and the full length of an Across floating line. I never tire of the feeling of a well-executed cast and the sight of the line shooting away like an arrow, trailing a bewildered Sunray. Then all you can do is wait...'
