Cheeky UV is a highly stretchable plastic film suitable for almost any application, including very small flies. It can be applied directly from the spool with a thread holder to create neat body segmentation. It is an excellent body material beneath ribbing on Perdigons and a fine hot spot, and works exceptionally well for cheeks on buzzers and chironomids. For buzzer cheeks it suits hook sizes 8–16, and when stretched it can be used on even smaller hooks. The extremely thin material adds minimal bulk. The competition fly-fishing community asked for an ultra-thin cheek material; this goes beyond that brief.

It is an excellent body material beneath ribbing on, for example, Perdigons, and works well as a hot spot. It is also excellent for cheeks on buzzers and chironomids.

Used as cheeks on buzzers, it suits hook sizes 8 to 16; by stretching it slightly, it can also be used on even smaller hooks. Very thin material that adds minimal bulk.

The request from competitive fishing circles for an ultra-thin material for cheeks has not merely been met, but exceeded.
