Rinse your equipment with fresh water after use and dry thoroughly after use in salt water to extend the life of your fishing rods. Although rods are designed for use in salt water, even the best components can be damaged without proper maintenance. Use oil or spray to prevent corrosion on reel seats and guides to further ensure that your rod does not get damaged.
